Peanut Butter and Oreo Truffles

I  love truffles/ball shaped desserts apparently.  There's these Peanut Butter Pretzel truffles I shared last year.   Cookie Dough Truffles  And, of course classic Oreo Truffles  (which sadly I now see I didn't even post a picture of them!), but combine a few of those, and you get this adorable little baby - Peanut Butter Oreo Truffles! Now, I admit that one night while we had a babysitter, Rob and I drank a bit of wine and started snacking.  Our standard late night snacks are nachos, PB and crackers (his) and cheese and crackers (mine).  This particular night we had Oreos as well.  Rob decided to spread a little PB on the Oreo and I'm certain I looked at him like he was ca-razy!  Not that it sounded bad, but just WHY?!  Well, I'll tell you why.  Because it was fantastic!  And yes, I realize there are PB Oreos out there - but I've had them and I'm not a fan.  And yes, I could try to make my own , but I haven't really felt the need since I prefer a cl

Chocolate and Caramel Chip Cookies with Sea Salt

There's obviously a lot of things to look forward to about the holidays, but for me one of my favorite traditions is a massive cookie baking day with the women in my family.  We each like to bring something new to the table, and even though we usually make chocolate chip, this year I wanted to adapt my f avorite chocolate chip cookie recipe by adding caramel to it.  Caramel and chocolate go together perfectly, but since the cookies are topped with sea salt, all the more merrier! Not having an actual recipe to go off of, I just winged it.  And what a good winging it was!  There's already this amazing dough base, but with just essentially a tiny little adaptation, a huge difference was made!  The caramel isn't overpowering, so it's still pretty much a chocolate chip cookie, but the occasional bite of melty caramel is like a nice little treat that no one is going to turn away! Everyone likes a chocolate chip cookie any time of the year, but this year try these.  Yo
